Bylaw Enforcement & Animal Control
Under the direction of the Clerk's Department, the By-law Enforcement Officer enforces municipal by-laws in a manner that protects the general public and ensures the township remains a pleasant and attractive community to reside in, conduct business and visit. The Department is also responsible for parking issues, property standards, lakeshore enforcement, noise complaints, ATV use, and the licensing and control of dogs.
If the incident does not fall within the parameters noted above and is not an emergency, there is an option to use the OPP Citizen Self Reporting System.
The Citizen Self Reporting System is an easy way for an individual to report an incident to the Ontario Provincial Police using a computer of a mobile device. An individual must have a valid email address to report an incident. The reporting system is a step by step process and is helpful in situations involving minor infractions or where a suspect is known.
All emergencies still need to go through 911.
