Community Well-Being Program

The Township of Huron-Kinloss established a Community Well-Being Program that was approved by Council on May 23rd 2018. The Community Well-Being Program is designed to assist Community Organizations access funds for programs and services offered in Huron-Kinloss to Huron-Kinloss residents and visitors. The Community Well-Being Program is made possible through the Exploring Partnerships and Community Well-Being partnership program through the NWMO, as Huron-Kinloss is continuing to learn more about Canada’s Plan for Used Nuclear Fuel.
The Community Well-Being Program was developed to allow Huron-Kinloss community groups and organizations to access funds for their programs and services. Eligible projects will support one of the five funding streams: Arts, Culture & Heritage; Sports & Recreation; Social & Health; Environmental; and Other.
Please take a moment to review the program guidelines and application to ensure your project fits within the eligibility requirements. Applications will be accepted from June 1st, 2018 to July 31st, 2018; funds are intended to be supplementary to main sources of funding as this program is intended to provide a modest level of assistance to Community groups. Applications should reference the Township's Sustainability and Strategic Plan available on our website.
The Community Development Officer for the Township of Huron-Kinloss will work with applicants to ensure their application is complete and ready for the program committee to review. Please contact Michelle, prior to submitting an application, to ensure the program and funding guidelines are understood and the project fits within the program eligibility requirements. The NWMO also offers support through their Sponsorship and Donations program, Community Organizations in Huron-Kinloss may be eligible for an additional $3000 (maximum) for your project.
