More fires begin in the kitchen than any other room in the home. In fact, residential cooking is one of the leading causes of fire-related deaths. By using working smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms and by having a home fire escape plan, The Township of Huron-Kinloss Fire Services wants to help keep residents safe from death or injury.

Fire Inspections
Buildings maintained in accordance with the provisions of the Fire Code perform well during fire incidents.
While building owners are responsible for carrying out the provisions of the Fire Code, fire services have a public safety interest in ensuring that buildings are maintained in accordance with the Fire Code.
