Community Well-Being Program

Since 2018, the Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO) has been a cornerstone of support for our community through the Community Wellbeing Program. The CWBP grants have provided crucial funding for a wide range of initiatives, empowering organizations to deliver impactful services and opportunities to Huron-Kinloss. Through this program, over $400,000 in funding has been delivered to Huron-Kinloss organizations, fostering growth, innovation, and community development.

In light of the November 2024 announcement that South Bruce will no longer be considered as a potential DGR site, funding for the Community Well-Being Program has concluded. This marks the end of a significant era of community investment and we extend our deepest gratitude to the NWMO for their support, which has left a lasting legacy in our community.
