All sports have their own committee which are appointed Committees of Council.  They have their own policies and procedures along with their Ontario governing bodies. Our goal is to ensure all sports operate with fair play, maintain their constitution (guidelines), operate within budget & to provide support and guidance if needed. As well Ripley Minor Sports Committees approve and maintain the following:

• Individual Sports budgets and financial transactions;
• Team sponsor contacts & collection;
• Provide team photographer contact for all sports

Ripley Minor Sports Committees are also supporters of projects that have evolved with the growing community and sport requirements to ensure our youth have a place to play.

Positions within the individual sports committees are elected within their group and are always welcoming to new participants. The committees meet as required for each sport. The meetings are open to public. Many who have served on the committees have enjoyed the fellowship shared as parents and feel confident the decisions made are in the best interest of our children in all sports. Volunteering for a Ripley Minor Sports Committee is not about our time spent it is about how time is spent with our youth. As responsible parents and citizens we need to remind ourselves volunteering is using the same concept that we teach our children when we register them in sports. Be a team player, do your best, have fun and most of all treat others with respect.
