Huron-Kinloss Cultural Action Plan and Mapping Project

The Cultural Action Plan Project is focused on defining and enhancing the culture of Huron-Kinloss. Culture can include everything from our agricultural heritage and family history, to how we express ourselves and our favourite movie.

We will be hosting a Launch Event on September 20th, which will be an informative evening where residents will have the opportunity to give their input, and explore culture through interactive activities. At this event, residents will learn about:
What is a Cultural Plan?
How will it help our community?
How can I get involved?
Residents of all ages are welcome.
Date: September, 20th
Time: 7:00 - 9:00 PM
Place: Ripley-Huron Community Centre,
17 Queen Street, Ripley
Following the launch event, we will be hosting 3 community workshops the week of October 8th. Residents will be encouraged to share stories of the community’s rich culture and heritage - past or present by bringing an item that is culturally significant to them or the community.
