Win this Space

Have you ever dreamed of owning your business? Has the thought of becoming an entrepreneur crossed your mind more than a few times? We understand that making the leap to become an entrepreneur can be scary and challenging. Win this Space was developed as one of the tools available to support an entrepreneur opening a business in downtown Lucknow or Ripley.

With an exciting prize package that includes many things a business needs to get started, a move-in ready commercial space and the opportunity for local and County level support for entrepreneurs and their business; there is no better time to bring your business concept to life.

The application process is easy, fill out the online form and upload a 1-3 minute video that describes your business concept and why you think it will be successful in downtown Lucknow or Ripley. That's all you need to do for step one of the contest. Applications are due between September 17th and October 26th 2018.

Once the applications have been reviewed by the judging panel, 5 finalists will be chosen to continue with the contest. All applicants will be notified if they are moving on or not.

The 5 finalists will work with Bruce County's Business to Bruce team to complete their business plan and to attend a few business seminars related to financial projections and specific business plan components.

In order to move on to the final step of the Win this Space program, finalists must submit their completed business plans (including a detailed budget) by December 17th 2018.

The Judging panel will review the submitted business plans. On January 23rd, all finalists will be invited to do a 10 minute presentation of their business plans to the judging panel followed by a 10-15 minute question and answer period.

After all the finalists have presented their plans, the Judging panel will discuss the plans and choose the winner. The Judging panel will announce the winner of the prize package on January 23rd 2018. All finalists will be required to return to Ripley for the announcement.
