The Lucknow and District Chamber of Commerce invites you to a presentation by Joe Carter on the National Chamber of Commerce Group Benefits Plan. This is very attractive to smaller businesses and those who are self employed. This is an open event to all; however, businesses must be a paid-up member of a local Chamber of Commerce to access the Plan. The Lucknow and District Chamber of Commerce's annual membership fee is $80.
If you are interested in learning more about this Plan, the presentation is on March 19th at the Lucknow Sports Complex (lower level room). It will start at 7:30 p.m. and there will be refreshments.
If you have any questions, please e-mail: email@example.com.
This annual program is administered by the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. It allows eligible employers, upon successful application, to subsidize the hourly cost of summer student employment. The program provides a $2 per hour incentive to hire eligible employees. In order to qualify as an eligible employer, your business or organization must be located in a town, small city or rural township that has a population of 100,000 or less.
The deadline to apply for this program is April 17, 2015. Eligible employees would be students between the ages of 15 and 30 who intend to return to school in the fall of 2015.

The Huron-Kinloss Ice Cream Trail™ is back! We are just finalizing the Stops, but it looks like there will be ten stops including one new location in Lucknow! The theme this year will focus on local heritage, highlighting the re-opening of the Point Clark Lighthouse and Ripley Reunion.
The Trail will open on May 15th, just in time for the Victoria Day Long Weekend. It will run until September 27th.
The Ice Cream Trail™ is a fun photo scavenger hunt taking participants to ten ice cream stops along the way. Players follow a map and read clues at each stop, which leads them to find Sammy Sprinkles. In some cases, participants will be lead to a different location to find Sammy.
Once participants find Sammy they take a picture with him and submit the photos to the Township for prizes. Participants will receive a free t-shirt (given to the first 1000 participants) and qualify for a chance to win our grand prize of $250 Huron-Kinloss Dollars to spend at local merchants. There are also special prizes for the funniest, most creative and largest group photos.
If a customer presents a Huron-Kinloss Dollar Certificate at your business (see picture below), please accept it as cash. Follow the instructions on the reverse side to be reimbursed by the Township.
