Ripley Business Community
What began as a meeting of minds over coffee, developed into an innovative plan to create the Ripley Business Community in 2002-2003.
Since it's inception the Ripley Business Community has been working hard to help beautify the downtown area of Ripley, to promote existing businesses and to attract new business. This is in keeping with our Mission Statement.
"To promote and support existing and new businesses and contribute to community improvement"
Our membership includes business from the former Township of Huron and it's Hub, Ripley.
The largest portion of our membership fee is used to advertise the members' businesses along with our sponsored events. Events include the Artisan's Festival and Christmas in the Park with the Parade of Lights.
The seasonal street decorations such as the summer flower baskets, Fall and Christmas arrangements are also funded and prepared by our membership along with donations from the Township of Huron Kinloss and other groups. Our unique planters were custom built locally by one of our members and were purchased with money raised in raffles at the Christmas promotions. Each year volunteers graciously transform the hanging baskets into Christmas arrangements, and prepare planters as a fundraiser.
Our business membership, with the help of several volunteers and organizations, have enthusiastically worked together to establish and attractive and thriving community.
The Ripley Business Community welcomes new members.
