The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), 2005 became law on June 13, 2005. Under this landmark legislation, the provincial government developed required standards that identify, remove and prevent barriers for people with disabilities. The vision of the act is to have an accessible Ontario by 2025. The Township of Huron-Kinloss is committed to accessibility in our communities.

Transportation
As a member of the Saugeen Mobility and Regional Transit (SMART), specialized public transit service is available if you meet criteria. Please call 877-376-9127 or 1-877-389-0079 to find out if you're eligible.
Generally, service is restricted to those who cannot, because of their physical or mental challenges, travel by transit or taxi. These challenges include the required use of crutches, a cane, a walker or wheelchair; visual impairments; cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer's, and developmental challenges.
