July 18th, 2022 - Council Meeting
The Township of Huron-Kinloss Council meeting was held in Council Chambers at 21 Queen Street in Ripley at 7 in the evening.
The agenda included several items including:
Point Clark Boat Club Delegation
A representative from the Point Clark Boat Club spoke to Council regarding the membership’s concerns for the proposed By-Law to Regulate the Parking of Trailers in Residential Areas.
An online survey is available on Have Your Say H-K to gather public comments until August 22nd, 2022.
Grey Bruce Local Immigration Partnership, Welcoming Communities Grey Bruce, and YMCA Settlement Services Delegation
Three individuals came to speak on how their three agencies are creating a “circle of support for newcomer integration.”
The presentation helped to educate Council, staff, and the public about how they can support immigrants and newcomers in their communities by connecting them with the services offered by each organization.
Huron-Kinloss Community Septic Inspection Program
As follow-up to the July 4th Staff Report about the continuation of the Huron-Kinloss Community Septic Inspection Program, there was a presentation and discussion with a B.M. Ross staff.
Council supported the staff recommendations for B.M. Ross to continue with a third cycle of the Septic Inspection Program along with providing services for the Sewage System Management Program (Part 8).
Next Meeting
The Township of Huron-Kinloss Committee of the Whole meeting will be at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 3, 2022. This will be held in-person within Council Chambers at the Municipal Office, 21 Queen Street in Ripley.
