The Township of Huron-Kinloss Council Planning meeting was held at 7:00 p.m. Court of Revision was held at 8:00 p.m. Both meetings took place in Council Chambers at 21 Queen Street in Ripley.
Council Planning
A Bruce County Planner attended to present two Zoning By-Law Amendment applications to be considered by Council.
Shelton
The purpose of this application is for a Zoning By-law Amendment. If approved, this application will facilitate a Consent for the creation of a new +/- 786 square meter (m2) lot from a +/- 1,565 m2 parcel. The subject property is located South of Kincardine, North of Concession Road 10, and on the East side of Boiler Beach Road.
It is proposed that the Zoning By-law will be amended to permit:
- A reduced lot area of 786 and 822 square meters, for both severed and retained lots respectively;
- A reduced frontage of 19 meters, where 30 is required, for both the severed and retained lots;
- A requirement for a tertiary septic system, for both the severed and retained lots; and,
- A holding provision for areas containing high archaeological potential.
Kempton
The purpose of this application is for a site-specific Zoning By-law Amendment. If approved, an area of approximately +/-0.16 hectares will be rezoned to permit on-farm diversified uses of a construction and excavation and snow removal business; including maintenance, and associated outdoor storage of construction equipment, fleet vehicles, and materials related to construction and excavation. A holding is also proposed in areas of high archaeological potential. The subject property is located Southwest of Ripley, North of Concession Road 2, and on the West side of Bruce Road 7.
Council supported the requests for Amendment and staff have been directed to prepare the by-law (Shelton, Kempton) for the June 19th Council meeting.
Court of Revision
The Project Engineer for R.J. Burnside and Associates Limited provided evidence for Park Street Municipal Drain Improvement - Phase 1 appeals and the Court of Revision heard the appellants present their case.
The Court of Revision accepted the engineers report as presented.
