September 19, 2022 - Council Meeting
The Township of Huron-Kinloss Council meeting was held in Council Chambers at 21 Queen Street in Ripley at 7:00 in the evening.
The agenda included several items including:
Council approves waived rental fees for Huron Shores Hospice
A report by Mike Fair, Director of Community Services, was presented to Council recommending waiving fees for the grief recovery meetings put on by the non-profit group, Huron Shores Hospice. The grief recovery meetings provide individuals with the tools to recover and work through the loss of a family member or friend. Council authorized this request.
Municipal Modernization Program Intake 2
The Township is advancing its digital modernization efforts with help of the Province of Ontario’s Municipal Modernization Program. The current phase of the project will provide $45,000 in funding for improvements that would achieve efficiency and effectiveness outcomes over the next three years.
The Township was approved for funding to implement a computerized maintenance management system for facilities, integrated mapping, create an online bookings hub and integrate e-commerce.

The next Township of Huron-Kinloss Council meeting will be at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 3rd, 2022. This will be held in Council Chambers at the Municipal Office, 21 Queen Street in Ripley.
