Huron-Kinloss Council Announces the New Fire Chief

HURON-KINLOSS COUNCIL ANNOUNCES THE NEW FIRE CHIEF

HURON-KINLOSS, ONTARIO: Today, on behalf of Council, Township of Huron-Kinloss Mayor Don
Murray announced that Shane Watson will join the Huron-Kinloss staff in the role of Fire Chief. Shane will join the Huron-Kinloss staff on October 30th, 2023.

“Shane brings 10 years’ experience in the fire service as a volunteer firefighter and has spent the previous 5 years as a Fire Prevention Officer and Community Emergency Management Coordinator in the municipal sector. Overall, Shane brings the experience, education and professionalism that make him an asset for our fire and emergency services,” said Mayor Murray.

Chief Administrative Officer Mary Rose Walden welcomes Chief Watson to Huron-Kinloss’s senior leadership team. “I look forward to working with him and I am confident that with his experience, he will be a perfect fit for our organization.”

This is an honour and a privilege to serve the citizens of Huron-Kinloss as Fire Chief, having been a member of this community for years.
