Jack-o-Lantern Trail a Huge Success!
The Township of Huron-Kinloss is thrilled to share that the inaugural Jack-o-Lantern Trail at the Bruce Botanical Food Gardens was a fantastic success! Thanks to the incredible support from the community, over 116 jack-o-lanterns were donated from Ripley, Lucknow, and Point Clark, filling the gardens with a magical glow. Instead of ending up in landfills or rotting on doorsteps, these pumpkins have been repurposed to feed local livestock — a collaborative sustainable effort.
The chilly, rainy weather didn’t stop the 90 attendees who braved the elements for a cozy evening filled with community spirit. Attendees were able to warm up while mingling with hot chocolate and apple cider provided by the BBFG. The children especially loved choosing their favorite jack-o-lanterns among the glowing displays.
The Township of Huron-Kinloss and the Bruce Botanical Food Gardens would like to thank all the volunteers and community members who made this event such a memorable night. We’re already looking forward to next year’s Jack-o-Lantern Trail!
