Municipal By-Law Summer Patrol & Education Program

For the second consecutive year, the Township of Huron-Kinloss is pleased to announce the continuation of its special summer patrol program for the Lakeshore area. This initiative, running during the peak tourist season, aims to enhance community well-being and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

The Township has partnered with Municipal Support Services to assist with municipal law enforcement, focusing on education and enforcement of local by-laws. This partnership ensures that both residents and visitors are aware of and comply with important regulations.

Program Focus Areas

  • Dog Licensing and Control: Ensuring all dogs are licensed and not running off-leash on beaches or public property.
  • Golf Cart Permits: Verifying that all golf carts have a Township of Huron-Kinloss annual permit under the Golf Car Pilot Program.
  • Beach Regulations: Enforcing beach rules as outlined in the Beach Management By-law.

The Summer Patrol Program is designed to promote a safe and harmonious environment in the Lakeshore area, supporting the well-being of the community and its visitors.
