Open Air Fire Ban
HURON-KINLOSS, ON – The Township of Huron-Kinloss, Fire and Emergency Services has lifted the total fire ban. Open Air and Recreational Fire are now allowed.
The lifting of this ban applies to all Open Air Fires for all Fire Department jurisdictions within the Township of Huron-Kinloss. All Annual, Beach and Special Exemption Fire Permits are now reinstated.
A safety reminder regarding Open Air and Recreational Fires:
Ensure you are reporting your Open Air Fires to the Communication Centre – 1-800-511-9911.
Recreational fires must be small and contained.
Regulations require that recreational fires be smaller than one metre in diameter.
Never leave your fire unattended and always have means of extinguishment available to put the fire out.
If you discover a fire, it is very important that you report fires immediately by calling 911.
