Township Announces 2023 Community Well-Being Program Recipients
HURON-KINLOSS, ON: The Township of Huron-Kinloss received 24 applications from organizations interested in receiving 2023 Community Well-Being Program (CWBP) funding. The CWBP provides funding for projects and services that will have a positive impact on the community and are run by local organizations within the Township. The total project funding requests surpassed $147,000 for the 2023 program.
Since its inception in 2018, the Community Well-Being Program has dispersed over $400,000 to local organizations. The program committee, made up of Mary Rose Walden, Chief Administrative Officer; Michelle Goetz, Manager of Strategic Initiatives; Jodi MacArthur, Treasurer; and Don Murray, Mayor, reviewed the applications on April 28th, 2023, and awarded $100,000 in community grants.
The successful applicants were invited to partake in a photo op on June 7th, and the full list has been released on the Huron-Kinloss website for public viewing. Congratulations to all the recipients!
Special thanks to the Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO) for their continued support with this initiative.
