Township Announces Chief Administrative Officer’s Retirement

HURON-KINLOSS, ON: The Township of Huron-Kinloss announced today that after more than 33 years of dedicated service, Mary Rose Walden will be retiring from her position as Chief Administrative Officer, effective March 31st, 2024.

During her tenure as Chief Administrative Officer for the Township of Huron-Kinloss and as Administrator-Treasurer and Clerk-Treasurer for the former Township of Huron, Ms. Walden provided conscientious management and trusted advice to Council and Staff, ensuring the success of the municipality. She led the community through two amalgamations and spear-headed many projects and initiatives that have contributed to the well-being of the community.

Mayor Don Murray reflected on the announcement: “The CAO is fundamental to the advancement of the organization, and it is rare to have such consistency in this role. I consider it a privilege to have had the opportunity to work with Mary Rose, a progressive and highly regarded leader. She will leave a legacy of innovation and integrity that has set the stage for the future success of the municipality. Her passion and devotion to the Township of Huron-Kinloss will never be matched.”
