Township Announces Fire Chief’s Resignation
HURON-KINLOSS, ON: The Township of Huron-Kinloss announced today that Fire Chief Chris Cleave has resigned, effective September 15th, 2023. Chief Cleave has served our community with dedication and commitment for 8 years.
Under Chief Cleave’s leadership, the Huron-Kinloss Fire and Emergency Services Department has achieved numerous milestones and has been a pivotal part in updating the standards for our volunteer fire fighters and supporting our fire and emergency services. His dedication to public safety and tireless efforts in leading the Fire Department have been greatly appreciated.
“Chris has been an invaluable member of our management team, and his contributions to the safety and well-being of our residents are immeasurable. We are grateful for his years of service and wish him all the best in his future endeavors," said Mayor Don Murray.
The Township of Huron-Kinloss will begin the recruitment process for a new Fire Chief. Residents can be assured that protocols remain firmly in place to respond to incidents swiftly and effectively. The Huron-Kinloss Fire and Emergency Services Department continues to be fully operational and is committed to ensuring the safety of the community.
