The Township of Huron-Kinloss received 24 applications from organizations interested in receiving 2024 Community Well-Being Program (CWBP) funding. The CWBP provides funding for projects and services that will have a positive impact on the community and are run by local organizations within the Township. The total project funding requests surpassed $144,000 for the 2024 program.
Since its inception in 2018, the Community Well-Being Program has dispersed over $400,000 to local organizations. The program committee, made up of Jodi MacArthur, Chief Administrative Officer; Michelle Goetz, Manager of Strategic Initiatives; Christine Heinisch, Treasurer; and Don Murray, Mayor, reviewed the applications on April 5th, 2024, and awarded $100,000 in community grants.
The successful applicants will be invited to partake in a photo opportunity at a later date, and the full list has been released on the Huron-Kinloss website for public viewing: https://www.huronkinloss.com/live-here/community-well-being-program/
