Township of Huron-Kinloss launches 2023 Community Well-Being Program

HURON-KINLOSS, ON: The Township of Huron-Kinloss in partnership with the Nuclear Waste Management Organization  (NWMO) established a Community Well-Being Program in 2018 that saw $100,000 in funding dispersed throughout the community. Since its inception, the Community Well-Being Program has dispersed almost $300,000 to local organizations. The Community Well-Being Program is designed to assist Community Organizations access funds for programs and services offered in Huron-Kinloss to Huron-Kinloss residents. The Community Well-Being Program is made possible through the Exploring Partnerships and Community Well-Being partnership program through the NWMO, as Huron-Kinloss is continuing to learn more about Canada’s Plan for Used Nuclear Fuel.

The 2023 Community Well-Being Program guidelines will be sent to the appropriate organizations, please take a moment to review the guidelines and application to ensure the project fits within the eligibility requirements. Applications will be accepted until April 21^st 2023; funds are intended to be supplementary to main sources of funding as this program is intended to provide a modest level of assistance to Community groups.

The Administrative Coordinator for the Township of Huron-Kinloss will work with applicants to ensure their application is complete and ready for the program committee to review.
