Township of Huron-Kinloss Launches 2024 Community Well-Being Program
The Township of Huron-Kinloss established a Community Well-Being Program in 2018 that saw $100,000 in funding dispersed throughout the community. Since its inception, the Community Well-Being Program has dispersed $400,000 to local organizations. The Community Well-Being Program is designed to assist Community Organizations access funds for programs and services offered in Huron-Kinloss to Huron-Kinloss residents. The Community Well-Being Program is made possible through the Exploring Partnerships and Community Well-Being partnership program through the NWMO, as Huron-Kinloss is continuing to learn more about Canada’s Plan for Used Nuclear Fuel.
The program guidelines will be sent to the appropriate organizations. Please take a moment to review the guidelines and application to ensure the project fits within the eligibility requirements. Applications will be accepted until March 11th, 2024; funds are intended to be supplementary to main sources of funding as this program is intended to provide a modest level of assistance to Community groups.
The Administrative Coordinator for the Township of Huron-Kinloss will work with applicants to ensure their application is complete and ready for the program committee to review. Please contact Mike Bartlett, or visit our Community Well-Being webpage prior to applying, to ensure the program and funding guidelines are understood and the project fits within the program eligibility requirements. Special thanks to the NWMO for their continued support with this initiative.
