  • Ripley Dog Park Community Meeting

    The Huron-Kinloss Community Services Department hosting a community meeting on Tuesday, January 21, at 6:30 PM at the Ripley-Huron Community Centre seeing input from Ripley residents on tweaks to the design and layout of the Ripley Dog Park project. 

     

  • Grand Opening of the Ripley Medical and Childcare Centre

    HURON-KINLOSS, ON – The Township of Huron-Kinloss is thrilled to announce the grand opening of the newly renovated Ripley Medical and Childcare Centre. The facility, developed in partnership with the Kincardine Family Health Team (KFHT), Dr. Murray, the YMCA of Owen Sound Grey-Bruce, the County of Bruce, the Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO), and the Province of Ontario, is now fully operational and ready to serve the community. 

  • Township of Huron-Kinloss Enters Agreement with OCWA for Water and Wastewater Services

    The Township of Huron-Kinloss is pleased to announce a new five-year agreement with the Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) for the operation and maintenance of its water and wastewater systems. The agreement takes effect on January 1, 2025, following the conclusion of services from the current provider, Veolia Canada, on December 31, 2024.

  • Notice of Meeting To Consider an Amendment to the Building Permit Fees - January 13, 2025

    The Township of Huron-Kinloss is planning to update the Building Permit Fee By-Law under Section 7.6 (b) of the Building Code Act and will hold a public meeting to consider amending the Building Permit Fees on Monday, January 13th, 2025 at 1:00 PM.  The goal is to make sure the fees collected from building permits cover the costs of managing and enforcing the rules without exceeding them.

  • Holiday Garbage and Recycling Collection Schedule

    During the Christmas holidays, there will be changes to both garbage and recycling pick-up schedules.

  • Mayor Don Murray Elected as Bruce County Deputy Warden for 2024-2025 Term

    HURON-KINLOSS, ON: The Township of Huron-Kinloss is proud to announce that Mayor Don Murray has been elected as the Deputy Warden of Bruce County for the 2024-2025 term. The election took place on Thursday, December 5, 2024, during the Inaugural Council Meeting of Bruce County Council, held in the Walkerton Administration Centre.

  • 25-Year Anniversary of Amalgamation Time Capsule Video

    2024 marks the 25th anniversary of amalgamation of Ripley-Huron, the Township of Kinloss, and the Village of Lucknow into the Township of Huron-Kinloss. To commemorate this milestone, the Township partnered with videographer Tom Church to produce a time capsule-style video. 

  • 2025 Budget Survey Available on Have Your Say HK

    Each year, the Township of Huron-Kinloss undergoes an annual budget process to create budgets that support operations and deliver the programs and services required to maintain the high quality of life we enjoy in our community.

  • Notice of Passing of a Development Charges By-law

    The Township of Huron-Kinloss Council has passed Development Charges By-law No. 2024-103, effective November 18, 2024. This by-law establishes charges for new residential and non-residential developments to fund services such as Parks and Recreation, Roads, Water, Sanitary Sewage, and Fire Protection. Full details, including service areas and fee structures, are available on the Township's website or at the municipal office. Appeals can be filed with the Clerk by December 28, 2024, for consideration by the Ontario Land Tribunal.
