    A Bruce County Planner attended with a report for a minor variance application to be reviewed at the Committee of Adjustment meeting. A planning application to rezone a portion of a property was also presented to be considered by Council.

    The Township of Huron-Kinloss Committee of the Whole meeting was held in Council Chambers at 21 Queen Street in Ripley at 7:00 in the evening.

  • Flags at Half-Mast in Recognition of Former Reeve Murray Thompson

    The Township of Huron-Kinloss Council and staff are deeply saddened with the passing of Murray Thompson, a former Reeve of the Township of Huron. The Township offers sincere condolences to Thompson’s family and friends during this time.

    The Township of Huron-Kinloss Inaugural Council Meeting was held in Council Chambers at 21 Queen Street in Ripley at 7 in the evening.

    The agenda was ceremonial in nature, as the Council members took their Declarations of Office.

  • Water and Wastewater Servicing Master Plan Open House

    The Township of Huron-Kinloss is working on a Master Plan examining future growth and associated water and wastewater infrastructure needs in the communities of Ripley, Lucknow, and the Lakeshore areas. This Master Plan will examine forecasted future residential and non-residential growth over the next 25-years and identify water and wastewater infrastructure required to support this future growth. 

  • Wood Carvings at Lewis Park Removed Due to Safety Concerns

    The wood carvings at Lewis Park in Ripley have been removed due to safety concerns. Due to the age, the carvings became unstable to the point that there was a danger of the carvings falling or injuring a visitor to the park.

  • Council Appoints New Manager of Legislative Services/Clerk

    HURON-KINLOSS, ON: Today, on behalf of Council, Township of Huron-Kinloss Mayor Mitch Twolan announced the appointment of Jennifer White to the role of Municipal Clerk effective November 15th, 2022. Jennifer will join the Huron-Kinloss staff on October 31st, 2022 and will be formally appointed in November.

  • Fire Prevention Week "Fire won’t wait. Plan your escape" Oct. 9-15, 2022

    Monday, October 10th, 2022 – The Huron-Kinloss Fire and Emergency Services Department is teaming up with the National Fire Protection Association® (NFPA®)—to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Fire Prevention Week TM (FPW), October 9-15, 2022. This year’s FPW campaign, “Fire won’t wait. Plan your escape TM”, works to educate everyone about simple but important actions they can take to keep themselves and those around them safe from home fires.
